Roseville Car Accident Lawyers
A Roseville car accident has resulted in the death of a woman. The accident occurred on I-696 near Campbell on February 7, 2009. Tempa Galietti, 50, was killed after a grey vehicle tried to enter her lane, according to witnesses. She then veered left to avoid the vehicle and then veered right when she overcompensated. She lost control of the vehicle and crossed three lanes of traffic before going up an embankment and striking a utility poll. She was killed instantly.
I am very sorry this accident occurred. Although the news report indicated it was not immediately clear if the driver of the grey vehicle did anything wrong, it is very likely that the driver was going too fast or switching lanes without signaling. It is terrible that an innocent woman lost her life because of it.
When a person is killed in a car accident, their family can submit a claim for Michigan No Fault insurance survivor loss benefits. A survivor loss claim includes payment for a portion of the funeral costs and for loss of financial support and loss of household services. The family may also be able to file a lawsuit against the driver who caused the accident. This type of lawsuit is known as a suit for wrongful death. An experienced Michigan car accident lawyer could help prepare the survivor loss claim and, of course, could represent the family in a lawsuit.
