I read a tragic story about a Michigan man, Robert Jackson Sr. of Hazel Park, who suffered fatal injuries recently in a Utah car accident. His son, the driver of his vehicle, suffered serious injuries. Police believe that the driver of a pickup truck cut into their lane of traffic and caused the accident. It is still being investigated.

IA lot of my friends ask me how they can protect themselves if they or their families are involved in a car accident with another driver who does not have enough car insurance to cover the full cost of their injuries and damages.  The answer is simple: buy underinsured motorist coverage. 

In Michigan, most insurance companies offer underinsured motorist coverage which will provide protection to you and your family in situations where you are involved in an accident with another car which did not have enough liability insurance to cover your damages and injuries.
