Berrien County Fatal Car Accident

I read a tragic story in the paper today about a Berrien County Fatal Car Accident in Buchanan yesterday involving the passenger of a sport utility vehicle. According to the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department, a driver, in a Toyota SUV, allegedly travelled to fast around a curve in Rynerson Road, lost control of the vehicle, crashed into a brick entrance of a subdivision, flipped and landed on its passenger’s side.

The Sheriff also stated the driver’s brother was the passenger in the vehicle at the time of the accident. Emergency crews rushed the passenger to Lakeland Hospital in Niles where he later died from his serious injuries. The Sheriff’s office believes alcohol was a factor in this tragic accident and continue to investigate, at this time.

I am very sorry to hear about this tragic car accident and wish my most heart-felt condolences to the family of the deceased passenger on their loss.

Our Michigan car accident lawyers advise accident victims their legal rights.  For this type of accident, the family members may be able to make a claim for Survivor Loss Benefits.  This can include payment of funeral expenses, lost wages, and loss of other services.  This is true even if the decedent was intoxicated and at fault for the accident.

In addition, the injury victims may be able to file a lawsuit against the persons determined to be at fault in the auto accident.  The insurance company for the driver must still cover any injuries. In this lawsuit, the family of the deceased passenger can claim damages and compensation for the injuries suffered in the accident.  The insurance company for the negligent driver typically pays a settlement for this type of case.

Also, the family members of the deceased passenger  may have a claim for a Michigan wrongful death lawsuit against the driver that police determine was negligent and caused these car accidents. Another possible claim would be a potential Michigan dram shop case against the seller or furnisher of the  alcohol before the accident. At the very least, the surviving family should hire the best possible lawyer to look into these possibilities.

An experienced Michigan car accident lawyer can assist the victim with this type of claim.  Accident victims should not speak with the insurance adjuster for the negligent driver before consulting with an attorney.

Kalamazoo Rollover Car Accident

A man was seriously injured in a Kalamazoo Rollover Car Accident on July 17th.   According to Kalamazoo Police, the man was driving a Ford Taurus when he allegedly lost control of the vehicle, left the roadway, went into a ditch, clipped a sign then travelled on two wheels as the car emerged from the ditch.

The vehicle then rolled over and came to rest on its roof in front of the Environmental Research and Education House on Parkview Avenue. The driver had to be cut out of the car. He was taken to Bronson Methodist Hospital  with serious injuries. Police continue to investigate the accident.

I  am very sorry to hear about this auto accident and wish the injured driver the fullest and speediest recovery possible.  I hope that he comes out of this with no permanent harm.

Michigan car accident victims have a number of legal rights.  For this type of auto accident in Michigan, the injured driver can submit a claim for Michigan No-Fault insurance benefits.  No-Fault benefits will cover his medical expenses, lost wages, attendant care, replacement services, and other benefits related to injuries suffered in the accident.

An experienced Michigan car accident lawyer can assist the victim with this type of claim.  Auto accident victims should not speak with the insurance adjuster for the negligent driver before consulting with an attorney.

Athens Township Rollover Accident

An Athens Township rollover accident has sent one woman to the hospital.  The accident occurred on M-66 near Q Avenue on November 17, 2008 when Paula Roggow lost control of her SUV and it rolled over.  She indicated she would be going to the hospital in a private vehicle.

I am very sorry this accident occurred.  I hope Paula Roggow is able to fully recover from her injuries.

Even though this was a single-vehicle crash, Paula Roggow is still eligible to receive Michigan No Fault insurance.  No Fault benefits include payment for her medical expenses, payment of a portion of lost wages, household replacement services, and other benefits if her injuries are severe enough to warrant them.  Paula Roggow should consult with an experienced Michigan car accident lawyer to ensure she is claiming all of the benefits she is entitled to.

Kent County Rollover Car Accident | Grand Rapids Car Accident Lawyer

A Kent County rollover car accident has left a prominent Michigan business leader dead.  Robert Peacock, 37, who was president of the Michigan Jaycees in 2005, was traveling westbound on 84th Street when he lost control of his vehicle west of East Paris Avenue.  His vehicle rolled over several times and he was thrown from the vehicle.  He died from injuries he sustained in the crash.

This sounds like it was a terrible accident and I am very sorry it occurred.  I want to extend my sympathy to this man’s family.

My law firm represents people injured or killed in car accidents.  Even though this man’s family is grieving right now, the best thing they can do is submit a claim for Michigan No Fault insurance.  Through a No Fault survivor loss claim, they can receive a portion of the funeral costs, a portion of Robert Peacock’s lost wages, and payment for all medical expenses incurred because of the accident.  This will likely provide them with significant financial support during this trying time.  They should submit this claim quickly, because the Michigan No Fault Act sets firm deadlines for submitting a claim and the insurance company can deny coverage for claims that are submitted after these deadlines.  An experienced Michigan car accident lawyer can help them make sure all the required documentation is submitted along with their claim.

Grand Rapids Rollover Accident

A Grand Rapids rollover accident has left three people in the hospital with serious injuries.  The accident occurred on eastbound I-196 near College Avenue.  No other details of the accident have been released yet.

This is a very tragic accident.  Rollovers can be some of the worst accidents.  My sympathies are with the people injured in this accident and I hope they fully recover from their injuries.

My law firm represents people injured in car accidents.  We specialize in assisting our clients with their No Fault Insurance claims and in litigating No Fault claims against the injured person’s insurance company and auto negligence claims against the negligent driver or the negligent driver’s insurance company.  In an accident like this, everyone in the car has a claim for No Fault benefits if they or someone they live with has a No Fault policy.  These benefits will pay all of the medical expenses and possibly some other expenses.  In addition, depending on the severity of their injuries, the passengers may have a claim against the driver for their personal injuries.
