Replacement Service Benefits: Michigan No-Fault Laws

Replacement service benefits under the Michigan No-Fault law provide payment up to $20.00 per day for household assistance to a Michigan car accident injury victim.  It covers things like doing laundry, cooking, housecleaning, and even mowing the lawn if the injured person is unable to do it due to injuries sustained in a Michigan car accident.  The claim is made against your own no-fault insurance carrier and must be supported by a note from your physician indicating that you are unable to do the chores due to the accident.

The benefits are payable for up to three years after the date of the accident.  It is necessary to furnish forms supporting that the services were performed, in addition to your doctors note indicating that you need these services.  The forms to submit to the insurance company can be downloaded for free from the Libary section of our law firm website at www.BuckfireLaw.com
