Raisinville Car Accident
A Raisinville car accident has sent seven high school students to the hospital. The accident occurred on December 4, 2008 on M-50 at the intersection with Ida-Maybee Road and Lewis Avenue. A car struck a van that was transporting members of the Lenawee Christian School’s basketball team to a game. The van rolled over after being hit. According to school officials, all of the injuries were minor.
I am very sorry this accident happened. I am glad none of the children were seriously hurt, and I hope all of them recover fully from their injuries.
In an accident in which the injuries are minor, it is relatively easy but still very important to file for Michigan No Fault benefits. No Fault insurance will pay for all the medical expenses incurred, which are likely to be the primary expense of this accident. Since the students are too young to own their own No Fault policies, they can use their parents’ policies. Even if their parents were uninsured, they can still file for No Fault benefits by using the van’s insurance policy. A lawyer can help determine which policy to use and how to coordinate benefits.
