Pedestrian Killed by a Pick-up Truck in Ross Township

There was a tragic story in the news today about a pedestrian killed by a pick-up truck in Ross Township in Kalamazoo County on October 15th. According to the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office, a 67-year-old Muncie, Indiana man walked across M-89 near 38th Street when he was allegedly struck and killed by a pick-up truck. The truck driver was uninjured. Police are still investigating the accident.

Sault Pedestrian Killed by a Vehicle

I read tragic story in the paper about a Sault pedestrian Killed by a Vehicle Saturday morning in Sault Ste. Marie. According to the Chippewa County Sheriff’s office, Angela Peltier was walking north of the Davitt Street intersection when she was allegedly struck by a vehicle driven by a 38-year-old Sault Ste. Marie man. She was taken to War Memorial Hospital where she was pronounced dead from her serious injuries. Police are still investigating and are trying to determine if alcohol was a factor in the crash.
