Fatal Troy Car Accident

There was a story in the paper this morning about a motorist that died in a fatal Troy car accident on November 30 in Oakland County. According to the Troy Police, a 57-year-old Troy man was driving his Dodge Stratus westbound on Long Lake Road, at the intersection of Crooks, when his vehicle was allegedly struck by 2009 Honda Accord that ran the red light, driven by a 46-year-old Rochester Hills woman. Police state the man was killed at the scene. Police are still investigating this accident.

Bus Stop Accident in Rochester Hills

There was story in the local newspaper about a bus stop accident in Rochester Hills in October 1st. According to the Oakland County Sheriff’s office, two teens were crossing South Boulevard to their bus stop to go to their Avondale school when they were allegedly struck by a minivan driven by a woman. Their bus had stopped and had extended its stop sign. Both teens were rushed to the local hospital in critical condition but are both stable now. Police are still investigating this accident.

Fatal Oakland County Car Accident

I read a tragic story in the Free Press today about a Fatal Oakland County Car Accident that occurred in Independence Township yesterday. According to the Oakland County Sheriff, an 80-year-old Clarkston man was a passenger in a 1997 Buick Park Avenue that was broadsided by a 2006 Jeep on Sashabaw Road, south of Fleming Lake.

The Buick was driven by a 77-year-old Clarkston resident. Both occupants of the Buick were rushed to Genesys Hospital with serious injuries where the 80-year-old later died. The driver of the Jeep was not injured. Police continue to investigate this accident at this time.

Oakland County Hit and Run Fatalities

I read a tragic story in the news over the weekend about Oakland County Hit and Run Fatalities in Novi on Saturday. According to Michigan State Police, a pick-up truck travelling on M-5, near 13 Mile Road, allegedly rear-ended a car causing it to burst into flames,, killing the two occupants. The pick-up truck driver fled on foot from the crash scene.

Police are still investigating the crash and searching for the driver of the pick-up truck. State Police ask that if you have any information to call the Metro North Post at (248) 584-5740.
