Muskegon County Car Pick-Up Accident

I read a story in the paper today about two people injured in a Muskegon County Car Pick-up Accident on October 21st near Whitehall. According to the Muskegon County Sheriff’s Office, a rear end collision occurred when a man driving a car allegedly entering onto US-31, from Colby Street, rear ended a pick-up truck heading southbound. Both vehicles wound up in trees next to the highway. The car caught fire but the driver was able to escape. Both drivers were taken to a local hospital with unknown injuries. Police are still investigating this accident.

I  am very sorry to hear about this tragic auto accident and wish any and all injured parties the fullest and speediest recovery possible.

Our Michigan car accident lawyers advise accident victims of their legal rights. For this type of auto accident in Michigan, the injured parties can submit a claim for Michigan No-Fault insurance benefits.  No-Fault benefits will cover their medical expenses, lost wages, attendant care, replacement services, and other benefits related to injuries suffered in the accident.  The injured parties can claim these benefits even if they did not have a Michigan automobile insurance policy.

In addition, the car accident injury victims may also have claims for personal injuries against any driver determined to be at fault in this auto accident. The insurance company for the negligent driver typically pays a settlement for this type of case. In this lawsuit, the injured victims can claim damages and compensation for the injuries suffered in the accident.  At the very least, the injured parties should hire the best possible lawyer to look into these possibilities.

An experienced Michigan car accident lawyer can assist the victims with this type of claim.  Auto accident victims should not speak with the insurance adjuster for the negligent driver before consulting with an attorney.

Fatal Muskegon County Bicycle Accident

I heard a tragic story on the radio over the weekend about a fatal Muskegon County bicycle accident that occurred Saturday. According to Muskegon Police, a bicyclist was travelling on an overpass over US-31 on Sherman Boulevard when he was allegedly struck by  car. The bicyclist was dead by the time emergency crews responded. Police are still investigating the accident.

I  am very sorry to hear about this tragic accident and affer the family of the bicyclist my most heart-felt condolences.

Our Michigan car accident lawyers advise accident victims of their legal rights. For this type of accident, the family members of the deceased bicyclist may be able to make a claim for Survivor Loss Benefits.  This can include payment of funeral expenses, lost wages, and loss of other services.

In addition, the family of the car accident injury victim may also have claims for personal injuries against any driver determined to be at fault in this auto accident.  The insurance company for the negligent driver typically pays a settlement for this type of case. In this lawsuit, the family of the injured victim can claim damages and compensation for the injuries suffered in the accident.

Also, the family members of the deceased bicyclist may have a claim for a Michigan wrongful death lawsuit against the driver that police determine was negligent and caused this accident. At the very least, the surviving family should hire the best possible lawyer to look into these possibilities.

An experienced Michigan car accident lawyer can assist the victim with this type of claim.  Accident victims should not speak with the insurance adjuster for the negligent driver before consulting with an attorney.

Roosevelt Park Car Accident | Hit and Run

A Roosevelt Park car accident has severely injured a Muskegon man.  Earl Bernard Martin, 24, was hit by a car that fled the scene on February 11, 2009.  Earl Martin was sitting outside a bar waiting for a ride when a car narrowly avoided hitting him.  The driver of this car pulled over to try to help him, but a second car ran over both of his legs, fracturing them, before the driver could assist.  The second driver then drove off without stopping.

I hope that Earl Martin is able to recover fully from this accident.  I simply cannot believe that someone would run over both this young man’s legs and not even check to see if he needed help.  Leaving the scene of an accident is a criminal offense, and I hope this driver is caught and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

When a pedestrian is hit by a car, the pedestrian can submit a claim for Michigan No Fault insurance.  For an accident like this, No Fault insurance will pay medical expenses including hospital bills and expenses for follow-up treatment.  It will also pay wage loss benefits and other benefits if they are warranted by the victim’s injuries.

If the pedestrian is severely injured, he may be able to file a lawsuit against the driver, if the driver is identified.  Even if the driver is not identified, it may still be possible to collect similar damages if the accident victim or someone he lives with has uninsured motorist coverage.

Montague Car Accident

A Montague car accident has left a high school student with serious injuries.  Brenen Twiss, 17, a high school junior, was involved in a serious car accident on November 19, 2008.  He appears to have lost control of his truck while on Whitbeck Road in northern Muskegon County.  The accident occurred after Brenen Twiss passed another vehicle at a high rate of speed and lost control of the truck because of a slippery patch on the road.  The truck rolled over and slid on its side before striking a tree and ejecting Brenen Twiss, who was not wearing a seat belt.  He has broken bones, serious injuries to his legs, and a possible brain injury.

This is a very tragic accident, especially since the victim is so young.  I hope that he is able to pull through this and begin the road to recovery.

Since this was an extremely serious accident, Michigan No Fault benefits will probably play a major role in Brenen Twiss’s recovery.  First, No Fault insurance will pay all of his medical expenses for treatment arising from this accident, including treatment immediately after the accident as well as follow up treatment.  Second, No Fault insurance will pay a reasonable rate for mileage to and from doctors’ appointments and can provide special transportation, which will be especially useful if his leg injuries limit his mobility.  Third, No Fault insurance can be used to pay for a case manager to coordinate follow up treatment, special transportation requests, and other benefits.  An experienced Michigan car accident attorney could help the family review their insurance policy and make sure they get every benefit Brenen is entitled to.

Muskegon County Car Accident Lawyers

A Muskegon County car accident has left one person with life-threatening injuries.  On November 19, 2008, Douglas Green, 46, lost control of the car on U.S. 31 near Fruitvale Road as the car left the road and eventually hit a tree.  Rescue crews worked for nearly 30 minutes to free the driver from the car.  It is unclear why the accident occurred.

I am very sorry this accident occurred.  I hope Douglas Green is able to pull through and recover completely from the injuries.

Michigan No Fault insurance benefits can help pay for the accident victims medical expenses, lost wages, and other expenses caused by an accident.  No Fault insurance is available following any accident involving a motor vehicle regardless of fault or the number of cars involved.  That means even a driver in a single-car accident can receive No Fault benefits.
