Leroy Township Car Accident
Two people were injured in a Leroy Township car accident. The accident occurred on December 7, 2008 on I-96 near Stockbridge Road when Ian Cherteiny, 26, lost control of his vehicle. The vehicle then rolled over into the median. Ian Cherteiny and his passenger Jason Ladd, 29, both of Williamston, were taken to Sparrow Hospital for treatment. Police believe speed and alcohol use were involved in the accident, although they are still investigating.
I was very sorry to read about this tragic accident. I hope that both Ian Cherteiny and Jason Ladd are able to pull through and recover fully from their injuries.
Both Ian Certeiny and Jason Ladd should submit claims for Michigan No Fault insurance as soon as they can. No Fault benefits will pay for all of their medical expenses including their hospital bills and any reasonable and necessary follow up treatment. No Fault benefits will also pay additional benefits such as wage loss, household replacement services, and attendant care.
In addition, if Jason Ladd is very serious injured, he may be able to sue the driver Ian Cherteiny. This lawsuit will be against Ian’s insurance company so it is still something Jason Ladd should consider even if the two of them are friends. A lawyer could explain the pros and cons of filing a lawsuit and help determine whether Jason’s injuries are severe enough that a lawsuit is warranted.
