Leroy Township Car Accident

Two people were injured in a Leroy Township car accident.  The accident occurred on December 7, 2008 on I-96 near Stockbridge Road when Ian Cherteiny, 26, lost control of his vehicle.  The vehicle then rolled over into the median.  Ian Cherteiny and his passenger Jason Ladd, 29, both of Williamston, were taken to Sparrow Hospital for treatment.  Police believe speed and alcohol use were involved in the accident, although they are still investigating.

I was very sorry to read about this tragic accident.  I hope that both Ian Cherteiny and Jason Ladd are able to pull through and recover fully from their injuries.

Both Ian Certeiny and Jason Ladd should submit claims for Michigan No Fault insurance as soon as they can.  No Fault benefits will pay for all of their medical expenses including their hospital bills and any reasonable and necessary follow up treatment.  No Fault benefits will also pay additional benefits such as wage loss, household replacement services, and attendant care.

In addition, if Jason Ladd is very serious injured, he may be able to sue the driver Ian Cherteiny.  This lawsuit will be against Ian’s insurance company so it is still something Jason Ladd should consider even if the two of them are friends.  A lawyer could explain the pros and cons of filing a lawsuit and help determine whether Jason’s injuries are severe enough that a lawsuit is warranted.

Livingston County Car Accident Lawyers

A Livingston County car accident on I-96 near Fowlerville Road has resulted in multiple injuries.  The accident occurred on November 9, 2008 as a car driven by a 66-year old driver from Grand Rapids struck a car driven by a 17-year old from Waterford.  After this contact, the Grand Rapids driver apparently lost control of the vehicle, went into the median, and rolled over.  The occupants of this vehicle were taken to Sparrow Hospital in Lansing for treatment on undisclosed injuries.

This sounds like it was a very serious accident.  I am very sorry it happened and I hope everyone is recovering from their injuries.

My law firm represents people injured in car accidents.  Many of the people I represent know they should submit a claim like this to their Michigan No Fault insurance company but often, they do not know all the different benefits they qualify for.  No Fault insurance pays a variety of benefits including medical expenses, lost wages, and attendant care, but there are other benefits as well, such as household replacement services, medical transportation benefits, and others.  The car accident lawyers at my law firm would be happy to review your No Fault claim before you submit it to your insurance company to ensure you are claiming every benefit you are entitled to.

In addition to No Fault benefits, people who have been killed or seriously injured in car accidents may be able to sue a negligent driver.  In an accident like this, many people do not know whether the passengers can sue the driver.  In Michigan, passengers can sue their own drivers for negligence, even if they are friends or family members.  People are sometimes hesitant to sue someone they know but I always explain to them that the lawsuit is really against the drivers’ insurance company.

Walker Rollover Car Accident

A rollover car accident in Walker left two people dead and a third injured on November 9, 2008.  The accident occurred on I-96 near Fruitridge Avenue when the driver lost control and the car rolled over several times.  It is not clear what caused the accident or how severe the injured person was hurt, although it appears that the injuries are non-life-threatening.

This is a very tragic accident and I am very sorry it occurred.  I wish to express my sympathy to the families of these people.  I hope that the injured accident victim recovers completely.

During a tough economy, unexpected accidents like this pack a double dose of hardship.  Not only do the families have to deal with the loss or injury of a loved one, but they also have to cope with the unexpected costs of medical bills and funeral expenses.  Michigan No Fault insurance provides some relief for the financial aspect.  No Fault benefits pay for all medical expenses and a portion of the funeral costs.  They also provide a portion of lost wages and other benefits.  These benefits are separate from any damages the families might be able to collect from a lawsuit.  The best way to make sure they get everything they deserve is to contact an experienced Michigan car accident lawyer.

Detroit Car Accident Lawyer | I-96 Car Accident

A fatal Detroit car accident occurred on I-96 in Detroit on October 30, 2008.  The accident occurred near the I-96/I-94 interchange when a minivan rear-ended a milk tanker.  A third vehicle then rear-ended the minivan, killing the minivan driver.  Unfortunately, no other details about the crash are available.

This is a very tragic accident and I am sorry that it occurred.  I want to extend my sympathies to the minivan driver’s family.

In an accident like this one, many times people do not know what to do.  They may not realize that they can submit a claim for Michigan No Fault insurance benefits regardless of who was at fault in the accident.  For the family of the minivan driver, a No Fault survivor loss claim can provide them with money for the funeral, part of the lost wages caused by the driver’s death, and payment for all medical expenses incurred.  In addition, depending on how the accident occurred, the family may be able to bring a lawsuit against either the milk tanker’s driver or the driver of the third vehicle.  By speaking with an experienced Michigan car accident lawyer, they could determine exactly what they want to do.
