There was a tragic story in the news today about Royal Oak Multiple Hit & Run Accidents Fatality. A drunk driver, in a Chevy Silverado, was allegedly involved in two hit and run accidents in matter of 10 minutes, according to Michigan State Police. The first hit and run accident allegedly occurred at a McDonald’s on 11 Mile Road near Van Dyke that left several people seriously injured.

State Police said the drunk driver then allegedly rammed into a Ford Aerostar minivan on the Woodward exit ramp of I-696 causing the minivan to roll, 10 minutes later. One of the passengers was killed when the minivan rolled. The driver and other passengers of the minivan were taken to Beaumont Hospital with serious injuries. The drunk driver fled the scene of the accident but was apprehended later when he returned to the scene. Police are still investigating this accident.

I  am very sorry to hear about these tragic auto accidents and wish all the injured parties the fullest and speediest recovery possible.  My condolences to the family of the deceased passenger for their loss.

Michigan State Police are investigating an Oakland County Car Accident that occurred on I-696 during rush hour on May 15th. Police said a lone vehicle lost control and crossed over the lanes to strike the median wall coming to rest in the left center lane. The driver and two passengers were transported to Beaumont hospital with serious injuries. The driver was subsequently pronounced deceased at the hospital.

I am very sorry this accident occurred.  I hope that the people injured are able to recover completely from their injuries.

A Roseville car accident has resulted in the death of a woman.  The accident occurred on I-696 near Campbell on February 7, 2009.  Tempa Galietti, 50, was killed after a grey vehicle tried to enter her lane, according to witnesses.  She then veered left to avoid the vehicle and then veered right when she overcompensated.  She lost control of the vehicle and crossed three lanes of traffic before going up an embankment and striking a utility poll.  She was killed instantly.

I am very sorry this accident occurred.  Although the news report indicated it was not immediately clear if the driver of the grey vehicle did anything wrong, it is very likely that the driver was going too fast or switching lanes without signaling.  It is terrible that an innocent woman lost her life because of it.
