Pine River Township Three Car Accident
There was a story in the paper today about three people seriously injured in a Pine River Township three car accident on February 5th in Gratiot County. According to the Michigan State Police, a 20-year-old Alma woman was driving a Jeep north on Luce when her vehicle allegedly collided collided with a 2001 Dodge Pick-up truck heading east on M-46, driven by a 32-year-old Ewell man and his female passenger. Police state she allegedly failed to stop for a stop sign because she was allegedly distracted by a cell phone.
The 20-year-old Alma woman then crossed into the westbound lane of M-46 and collided with a 1998 Oldsmobile station wagon, driven by a 52-year-old White Cloud woman. The White Cloud woman and the female passenger had to be taken to a local hospital for treatment of their serious injuries. Police are still investigating this accident.
I am very sorry to hear about this accident and hope that the injured women recover from this accident without any permanent injuries or deficits.
Our Michigan car accident lawyers advise accident victims of their legal rights. For this type of auto accident in Michigan, the injured women can submit a claim for Michigan No-Fault insurance benefits. No-Fault benefits will cover their medical expenses, lost wages, attendant care, replacement services, and other benefits related to injuries suffered in the accident. The injured parties can claim these benefits even if they did not have a Michigan automobile insurance policy.
In addition, the car accident injury victims may also have claims for personal injuries against any driver determined to be at fault in this auto accident. The insurance company for the negligent driver typically pays a settlement for this type of case. In this lawsuit, the injured victims can claim damages and compensation for the injuries suffered in the accident. At the very least, they should hire the best possible lawyer to look into these possibilities.
An experienced Michigan car accident lawyer can assist the victims with this type of claim. Accident victims should not speak with the insurance adjuster for the negligent driver before consulting with an attorney.
