Flint Car Accident

I read a tragic story online today about a Flint car accident that caused serious injuries to a pregnant woman.   A pregnant  passenger was seriously injured in the Flint Car Accident in Genesee County on Monday June 1st also knocking a house off of its foundation. According to police, the driver was allegedly travelling at a high rate of speed and ignored a stop sign then lost control of the car causing it to lift off the ground and collide with a tree and the house. The woman was taken to a local hospital where she is listed in critical condition with serious injuries. Police continue to investigate this car accident.

I  am very sorry to hear about this auto accident and wish the injured woman the fullest and speediest recovery possible.  I hope that both she and her baby come out of this with no harm.

Argentine Township Bus Accident

An Argentine Township bus accident has resulted in several injuries for the parent of an elementary school student.  A Genesee Intermediate School District bus struck a parent as she was maneuvering her wheelchair in the school’s parking lot on November 20, 2008.  The woman was hospitalized with what appeared to be a broke finger and wrist.  Although a number of children were on the bus, none of them were hurt.

It is hard to believe that someone whose responsibility it is to care for children while they are on their way to and from school could be so negligent as to nearly run over a person in the school parking lot.  I hope this woman has a complete recovery.

In an accident like this, the woman should definitely submit a claim for No Fault benefits to her insurance company.  Her No Fault insurance policy will pay for all of her medical expenses and will also pay for special transportation to get her to and from doctors’ appointments.  In addition, she may be able to collect other benefits such as wage loss and household replacement services.  She may also be able to sue the driver or school district for negligence, but this will depend on the exact nature of her injuries.  She should speak with an experienced Michigan car accident attorney to determine if she can file a lawsuit.

Michigan Car Accident Lawyers | Winter Car Accidents

I recently read that there were over 200 car accidents on November 18 and November 19 in Genesee County alone.  Officials estimate that 95% of them were related to the snowy weather.  As winter sets in, remember to be extra careful on the roads.

Atlas Township Car Accident | Genesee County Car Accident Lawyers

A fatal Atlas Township car accident has left Doris Allen dead.  On October 30, 2008, Doris Allen was driving on M-15 when she caught the shoulder of the road and lost control of her vehicle.  The crash occurred after she overcompensated and collided with another vehicle.  Her grandson was in her van, but fortunately he was not hurt.

This is a very unfortunate accident and I am very sorry it occurred.  My thoughts are with the Allen family.

In a situation like this, the family should submit a claim for Michigan No Fault insurance.  No Fault insurance will help them cover the most pressing costs of the accident, which are likely Doris Allen’s funeral and medical bills.  Other benefits may also be available depending on whether she was working or taking care of a house prior to the accident.  The family should consult an attorney to ensure they submit the proper documentation and make all the appropriate claims.
