Deerfield Township Three Car Accident

There was a story in the paper today about eight people injured in a Deerfield Township three car accident on November 30 in Lapeer County. According to the Lapeer County Sheriff’s office, a pick-up truck, with four people, was allegedly turning left on North Branch Road, from North Lapeer Road, when they were allegedly struck by a passenger car, with two people in it. Police state several people were trying to help when a van struck the passenger vehicle and three people outside the crash that were trying to help. Eight people in total were rushed to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries and possible life threatening injuries. Police are still investigating this accident.

I am very sorry to hear about this tragic accident and hope all the injured parties have a complete and full recovery from their serious injuries.

Our Michigan car accident lawyers advise accident victims of their legal rights. For this type of auto accident in Michigan, any injured parties, including the pedestrians, can submit a claim for Michigan No-Fault insurance benefits. No-Fault benefits will cover their medical expenses, lost wages, attendant care, replacement services, and other benefits related to injuries suffered in the accident. The injured parties can claim these benefits even if they did not have a Michigan automobile insurance policy.

In addition, the car accident injury victims may also have claims for personal injuries against any driver determined to be at fault in this auto accident. The insurance company for the negligent driver typically pays a settlement for this type of case. In this lawsuit, the injured victims can claim damages and compensation for the injuries suffered in the accident. At the very least, they should hire the best possible lawyer to look into these possibilities.

An experienced Michigan car accident lawyer can assist the victim with this type of claim. Accident victims should not speak with the insurance adjuster for the negligent driver before consulting with an attorney.

Deerfield Township Car Accident Kills Mount Pleasant Man

A fatal Deerfield Township car accident has killed a Mount Pleasant man.  Gary Edwin Moe was killed when the Dodge Intrepid he was driving ran off the road and hit a tree near Hiawatha Drive and Oak Court.  Gary Moe was transported to Covenant Health Care in Saginaw where he was pronounced dead.

This is a real tragedy and my sympathies extend to the family of this driver.

My law firm represents people injured and killed in car accidents.  I always say that one of the first things to do after a car accident is to make a claim for Michigan No Fault benefits.  In an accident like this, the driver is eligible for No Fault benefits, which will pay a portion of the funeral expenses and all medical expenses incurred.  This will give this man’s family immediate support and help them pay for their most pressing costs.
