Brighton Township Car Accident

There was a story in the paper today about two Brighton-area teens injured in Brighton Township Car Accident on Thursday, October 29th in Livingston County. According to the Michigan State Police, two teens were traveling eastbound in a Ford Mustang on Hyne Road, near Corlett Road, when a Dodge truck, driven by a Brighton area couple, allegedly turned in front of them. They lost control and struck the truck. Both teens were rushed to a local hospital with serious injuries. The Brighton area couple sustained minor injuries. Police are still investigating this accident.

I  am very sorry to hear about this tragic auto accident and wish the two teens the fullest and speediest recovery possible.

Our Michigan car accident lawyers advise accident victims of their legal rights. For this type of auto accident in Michigan, the injured parties can submit a claim for Michigan No-Fault insurance benefits.  No-Fault benefits will cover their medical expenses, lost wages, attendant care, replacement services, and other benefits related to injuries suffered in the accident.  The injured parties can claim these benefits even if they did not have a Michigan automobile insurance policy.

In addition, the car accident injury victims may also have claims for personal injuries against any driver determined to be at fault in this auto accident. The insurance company for the negligent driver typically pays a settlement for this type of case. In this lawsuit, the injured victims can claim damages and compensation for the injuries suffered in the accident.  At the very least, the injured parties should hire the best possible lawyer to look into these possibilities.

An experienced Michigan car accident lawyer can assist the victims with this type of claim.  Auto accident victims should not speak with the insurance adjuster for the negligent driver before consulting with an attorney.

Pinckney Motorcycle Accident

A Pinckney motorcyclist died in a motorcycle accident near Brighton on Tuesday.  The accident occurred on eastbound I-69 near Flint Road.  It appears the driver lost control of the motorcycle while in the left hand lane and crashed.  Police are still investigating the accident and requesting anyone who witnessed the accident to contact them at 810-227-1051.

This is a tragedy and I feel so much sympathy for this man’s family.

My law firm represents people injured in motorcycle accidents and their families.  When an accident like this one happens, the family should quickly determine what insurance policies are in effect and submit claims for the accident.  Although it may be difficult to assemble the necessary documents and file the paperwork while grieving for a loved one, it is necessary to do this quickly because insurance companies often attempt to disqualify claims for the reason that they were not submitted on time.  Only by filing the claim quickly can people avoid this.

In a motorcycle accident, No Fault benefits may be available.  These benefits could include payment of any medical expenses and payment for a portion of the funeral expenses.  The family may also have claims against a negligent party if the accident occurred because of someone else’s negligence.  The best way to determine all your possible claims is to speak with a lawyer.
