Pinckney Motorcycle Accident
A Pinckney motorcyclist died in a motorcycle accident near Brighton on Tuesday. The accident occurred on eastbound I-69 near Flint Road. It appears the driver lost control of the motorcycle while in the left hand lane and crashed. Police are still investigating the accident and requesting anyone who witnessed the accident to contact them at 810-227-1051.
This is a tragedy and I feel so much sympathy for this man’s family.
My law firm represents people injured in motorcycle accidents and their families. When an accident like this one happens, the family should quickly determine what insurance policies are in effect and submit claims for the accident. Although it may be difficult to assemble the necessary documents and file the paperwork while grieving for a loved one, it is necessary to do this quickly because insurance companies often attempt to disqualify claims for the reason that they were not submitted on time. Only by filing the claim quickly can people avoid this.
In a motorcycle accident, No Fault benefits may be available. These benefits could include payment of any medical expenses and payment for a portion of the funeral expenses. The family may also have claims against a negligent party if the accident occurred because of someone else’s negligence. The best way to determine all your possible claims is to speak with a lawyer.
