Glen Arbor Car Accident
A Glen Arbor car accident has resulted in the death of one man. The accident occurred on November 30, 2008. Police found Larry Thomas Higgins, 58, of Honor after he drove his vehicle off the road and it caught fire off Cheney Road in Glen Arbor Township. Police are still investigating the accident, but medical examiners have indicated Larry Higgins died from a heart attack. It is possible that the heart attack is what caused him to drive off the road.
I am very sorry this accident occurred. I want to extend my sympathies to the family of Larry Higgins and wish them the best as they go through this difficult time.
In a single-vehicle accident like this, many people think they have no recourse and just have to bear the cost of the accident themselves. This is simply not true. Michigan No Fault accidents are available even when there was no other car involved in the accident. In fact, one of the first things Larry Higgins’ family should do is file a claim with their No Fault insurance company.
A No Fault survivor loss claim will provide some assistance to the family as they cope with Larry Higgins’ death. Survivor loss benefits will pay a portion of the funeral bill and will provide payments for loss of household services and loss of financial support. If he incurred any medical expenses in connection with his death, the insurance policy will pay them as well. I would encourage the family to speak with a lawyer, who can help them file their No Fault claim.
