Fatal Berrien County Head-on Car Accident
There was story on the news the other day about a woman killed and 3 others injured in a fatal Berrien County head-on car accident on November 12 in Watervliet County. According to the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department, a 31-year-old man was traveling on Red Arrow Highway when he was allegedly unable to stop in time for some construction, veered around the construction and into the westbound lane of traffic.
His van then allegedly struck, head-on, a 1993 Pontiac Grand Am, driven by a 31-year-old man along with his 37-year-old wife, 17-year-old son and a 44-year-old friend. The three men were taken by ambulance to local hospital to be treated for their serious injuries. The driver’s wife was flown to Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo where she later died from her injuries. Police are still investigating this accident.
