Michigan Fiery Car Accident Kills Teenage Driver And Injures Passenger in Kent County
Our Michigan auto accident attorneys are reporting a fatal Kent County car accident that took place on 18 Mile Road NW near Fruitridge, killing 18-year-old Brittany Snyder, and injuring an 18-year-old passenger in the vehicle. The auto accident happened on Friday, February 24th, around 1 a.m. According to police, Snyder lost control of her vehicle due to icy road conditions, sliding off the road and hitting a tree. Her vehicle went up in flames due to the collision. Snyder was trapped inside her car when it caught on fire and was killed. The passenger suffers serious injuries due to the fatal auto accident and is said to be in critical condition.
According to the National Safety Council, there are approximately 12 million automobile accidents every year. Out of those 12 million accidents, an average of 467 people per year die due to icy road conditions. Most snowstorm-related deaths occur at their onset, when awareness levels are lower and lighter accumulations allow for higher speeds.
