I recently read about several people who were injured in Bay Area Transportation Authority (BATA) bus accidents. Four people have been injured this year due to improper safety belts and harnesses which were either not attached to their wheelchairs or other devices or which were not attached at all. According to the report, BATA officials are responding by inspecting safety equipment and offering additional training to their employees.
