Bicyclist Sues Geico Insurance For No-Fault Insurance Claim

Our Michigan car accident lawyers recently filed a Michigan No-Fault insurance lawsuit for a client in the Wayne County Circuit Court against Geico Insurance Company. Our client was riding her bicycle on the side of the road (gravel portion) and was struck by a car. Geico was the insurance company required to pay for the client’s Michigan No-Fault benefits.

The bicyclist suffered knee injuries including a ACL and MCL tears, two fractures in hip, three broken teeth, concussion with loss of consciousness for 10 minutes, and migraine headaches. The client had multiple abrasions with scarring on right leg, left forearm, upper arm, knee, calf, and back.

Geico Insurance has denied payment for many of the insurance benefits owed as a result of the bicycle accident. The lawsuit seeks payment of those benefits along with penalty interest and attorney’s fees. No trial date has been set by the court.
